Activity Department
The activity department encourages seniors to take part in activities such as fitness, bingo, music, computers, cards, dance, outings, and special events. Also available are educational opportunities and health information sessions.
Activities
There is something going on every day, Monday - Friday at CASI!
September is “Senior Center Month”, and we will recognize all of our Senior
Volunteers throughout the month. They are the Life Blood of CASI!
September 11 is Volunteer Appreciation Day from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in
Celebration Hall. Special speaker will be: Dave Layton. There is no charge
for this fun afternoon.

Adult Day SERVICES
The Adult Day Center provides a safe, supportive environment within a group setting for persons over age 60.
Balanced nutritional noon meals with attention to special dietary needs.
Assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing.
Activities include exercise, art, poetry, music, dancing, movies, pet therapy, sewing, reminiscing,
bingo, cards, crafts, field trips, and ceramics.
Physical, occupational, and speech therapy evaluations and treatment on site as prescribed by
physician. Monitoring and dispensing of medications including insulin shots.
Transportation is available.
Fees: Daily or hourly rate available. Sliding fee scale as appropriate.
Nutrition
Congregate meals are an opportunity for dining with others. Special diets are available.
Eligible participants are any persons 60+ and spouse, regardless of age, without regard to race, color or national origin.
A suggested donation is $2.50 for persons 60 and over, and $4.00 for persons under 60. Menus are available at CASI and published in the Sunday Quad City Times.
Senior advocacy
Information on benefits, services, opportunities for older adults and their caregivers.
Assistance in filling out forms and securing financial benefits for medical expenses, food stamps, tax relief, and others.
Consultation on service alternatives, housing options, long-term decisions.
Aid in identifying needs, locating and coordinating services.
Monitoring of services and ongoing support.
Case management assists seniors in maintaining independent living or remaining with families with the coordination of formal community services.
