![]() Giving The Center for Active Seniors, Inc. (CASI) is a thirty-seven year old organization dedicated to providing seniors and their families from the greater Quad Cities region educational opportunities, recreational activities, nutrition and wellness programs, volunteerism, adult day care, active senior advocacy and multi-generational and cultural programming. CASI is a federally recognized not-for-profit organization. Our funding sources are as follows:
Friends of CASI Annual fund drive that occurs in June, July and August, these gifts are used to assist with program and activity expenses. Blarney Bash Since 2001, this fund-raiser has raised over $400,000 for CASI operations AND provides a great evening of entertainment! Held annually on the first Saturday of March. St. Patrick’s Day Race Twenty eight years of racing history! CASI hosts a 5k run, a one mile family race/walk and a one hundred yard tot trot. Over 1,400 racers participate every year. Held annually on the second Saturday of March. Family Holiday Festival In 2008, CASI held its first Family Holiday Festival, attracting over 3,000 visitors in one day! A variety of family and youth activities are a great hit with people from across the Quad City area. Held annually on the second Saturday in December. Capital Contributions CASI applies for a number of capital and operations grants every year. Many programs, activities and facility improvements are funded by charitable organizations in our region. Charitable Estate Planning and Leaving A Legacy Planned Giving Program CASI also benefits by the generosity of many of our members and their families, receiving contributions, memorials and bequeathals from estates and insurance policies. Working with your financial planner, CASI can assist you in setting up a planned giving program that will continue to be your “legacy” at CASI for years to come.
